Wastewater Improvement Projects

The Town of Manchester, like other Vermont towns, has been faced with the task of replacing aging wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure.  Dufresne Group has provided the Manchester Sewer Department with engineering services since 1999.  Dufresne Group has provided design and engineering during construction for over 11,000 linear feet of sewer main for the Town of Manchester, as well as wastewater treatment facility and pump station improvements.

Many of the sewer main projects were combined with other   infrastructure replacement projects including water main replacement, storm drain replacement and road reconstruction.  Dufresne Group assists the Manchester Sewer Department with capital planning for sewer collection and treatment upgrades and provides recommendations for prioritizing the needed projects, as well as recommendations for combined infrastructure replacement projects where warranted.  An Asset Management Plan was developed by Dufresne Group in 2017 to assist with prioritizing capital projects.

Dufresne Group has consistently provided the Town of Manchester with accurate construction costs and typically completes the design and construction within the original total project budget.
