SAND HILL WATER STORAGE TANK
PETERBOROUGH, NEW HAMPSHIRE
As part of the Water System Improvements projects during the summer of 2008, the Town of Peterborough, NH replaced a 725,000 gallon painted and welded steel water storage tank with a 750,000 gallon precast-prestressed concrete storage tank. Dufresne Group (DG) provided the engineering, specifications, and construction oversight for this project. The completion date for this project was summer 2009.
Key Project Features:
- Water service to and from the existing tank had to be maintained throughout the project while the construction of the new tank was occurring.
- Because of limited accessibility at the site, alternative construction methods were used.
