At Dufresne Group we manage each project as if it is our own. Each project has a schedule and budget and the Client is kept informed of changes as the project evolves through the definition, design, and construction stages. Project managers at DG are evaluated on project performance and adherence to schedules and budgets are the primary evaluation criteria. Time used to be money; but now time is serious money. The inflation in the construction industry has been at record levels in the past two years. If your million dollar project was delayed a year, it is likely your customers will not receive about one hundred thousand dollars in lost value due to inflation. The only way to stop the flow of red ink is to get into construction as fast as possible.

Engineering fees can be a significant portion of capital cost, but effective project management and communication can reduce the costs lost to inefficiency and schedule creep. Finally, there is no substitute for engineering experience. Many times, engineers can make decisions on alternative solutions that can significantly reduce life cycle costs well below engineering fee budgets. Saving money on engineering may be very expensive down the road.
