Randy Goodwin on his way to achieve professional estimator certification

03.17.14

Randy Goodwin is currently in the process of completing the requirements to earn the designation of Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) through the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE). This is a nationally recognized credential that provides an objective measure of an individual’s broad-based knowledge and competency in construction estimating.

CPE designation through ASPE is the highest form of professional recognition an estimator can receive. To earn and maintain this certification, candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job experience, pass a 4-hour general estimating knowledge exam, pass an 8-hour discipline specific exam, submit a technical paper for peer review grading, and must participate in continuing education programs.

Founded in 1956, the ASPE’s mission is to further the recognition of construction estimating as a professional field of endeavor and is the only national accredited organization for construction estimating professionals. The ASPE promotes education, ethics, fellowship, and standards for the betterment of the construction industry.
