Dufresne Group Announces Promotions and Women Owned Business Status

Dufresne Group is pleased to announce its status as a Women Owned Business, effective with these promotions: Naomi Johnson – President, Christina Haskins - Vice President, and Andrea Day - Vice President. Robert Dufresne, founder, has been elected to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. All four are registered professional engineers and directors in the firm.

Naomi has worked in upper management since the firm’s inception in 1999. In addition to managing special projects, Naomi supervises our four regional offices. Naomi's education includes a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Vermont in Civil Engineering and an Environmental Engineering Master's Degree, received from Montana State University. Naomi earned her Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering in 1996 and is licensed in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Christina joined Dufresne Group in 2007 as a project engineer. For the past several years, she has served as a project manager and regional office manager in our Manchester, VT office. In October 2017, Christina authored an article that was published in the Northeast Journal of Trenchless Technology highlighting a pilot project for asbestos cement pipe bursting. This project was the first of its kind in the Northeast. Christina developed the pilot project as a solution to a challenging water main replacement and managed it through design, permitting and construction. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Civil Engineering from Norwich University. Christina earned her Vermont Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering in 2011.

Andrea joined Dufresne Group in 2014 after returning to Vermont from Montana where she worked as a professional engineer. Since joining DG, she has served as a project manager and regional office manager in our St. Johnsbury, VT office. In addition to municipal water, wastewater and stormwater design, Andrea specializes in obtaining grant and low interest loan funding for municipalities. Under her guidance, the St. Johnsbury office has increased the number and variety of projects under contract. Currently, Andrea is the project manager for the St. Johnsbury water treatment plant upgrade, which will be the first public water supply in Vermont to use ultrafiltration membranes for treatment. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont and a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. Andrea earned her Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering in 2009 and is licensed in Vermont, New Hampshire and Montana.
