WASTEWATER ENGINEER
The successful candidate has experience in the State of Vermont and is a leader, responsible for supervising, developing, mentoring, and hiring staff. Additional responsibilities include marketing the firm's wastewater services and related business development, budgeting, scheduling, project management, and design for highway and roadway design projects.
Essential job duties:
- Water resources analysis
- Wastewater treatment process methods
- Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and data collection, as well as interpretation of existing models
- Field investigations for collection sewer alternatives
- Report writing and master planning
- Design of wastewater pump stations, wastewater treatment plant renovations and upgrades
- Water quality studies
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater
- Vermont and New Hampshire PE registration, or ability to obtain PE registration within 3 years of hire
- 10 years or more experience working in water/wastewater engineering
- Experience using storm water modeling software
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Vermont
- Working knowledge of various engineering software including AutoCAD and MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with client relations, business development, marketing, proposal preparation, project budgeting and public presentations
- Is a client-focused leader and team player
- Possesses excellent communication, planning and organizing skills and has the ability to manage a staff of 2 to 5 people
- Excellent writing skill, and the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience
- Position requires travel to job sites, meetings, and regional offices as necessary
- Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
