The Bellows Falls Basis of Design Report, completed by Robert E. Dufresne while at Dufresne-Henry, is a comprehensive water system planning document that contains the results of:
  • Overall system hydraulic evaluations.
  • Pilot investigations and corrosion control studies.
  • In depth analysis and comparisons of pulsating upflow clarifier/ABW filter treatment and adsorption clarification/mixed media filtration.
  • The recommended treatment system, “Trident” package absorption clarifiers/mixed media filters were constructed as part of a total project completed in 1991. The basis of design process components are distinguished by their recommendation prior to the Water Supply Rule enactment.
